The Generator Interconnection (GI) Online Application Portal has been redesigned with a more intuitive interface and enhanced features. 

 

When are applications being accepted? 
The DPP-2023-Cycle will open on March 18, 2024 at 9:00 AM Eastern for new submittals. The DPP-2023-Cycle application deadline is April 18, 2024 at 5:00 PM Eastern. The DPP-2023-Cycle Phase 1 start date is scheduled for July 17, 2024.

 

Highlights for Interconnection Customers:

During the application window, the Portal will support the following application types: 

  • Appendix 1 - Interconnection Requests 

  • Appendix 5 - Optional Information Study Requests 

  • Appendix 4 - Small Generating Facility Interconnection Requests 

  • Attachment Y - Suspensions and Retirements

Highlights for Transmission Owners:

The redesigned portal allows Transmission Owners to perform company management actions, such as inviting users and managing personnel access to interconnection applications.

How can I access the portal? 
To learn how to request access to the Portal, review the GI Portal Getting Started Tips. The Portal can be directly accessed via the following link: https://gi-app.misoenergy.org/. Users are strongly encouraged to request and/or verify their Portal access prior to the queue opening.

 

Note: If you experience issues when attempting to login, please make sure you are using your MISO public website account username and password for the GI Portal login. If you are still unable to login after confirming you are using the correct username and password, please create a case in the Help Center. When creating your case, take a screenshot of the error message you receive and include it as an attachment to your case.

 

When making corrections to an application from a previous cycle, do I need to adjust the application to fulfill all of the required fields that have been added since that cycle?

Yes, MISO asks customers to update any new required fields in their application upon submitting corrections.
