The definition for the Minimum Run Time is as follows:

  • "The minimum length of time a Generation Resource or Demand Response Resource Type II must run, from the time the Resource is put online to the time the Resource is shut down."

The words “online” and “shut down” may be a bit confusing, but it is directly referencing the Resource’s Commitment Period (also commonly referred to as Start Instruction) as opposed to when exactly the resource synced to the Electric Grid.

The Minimum Run Time applies from the point where the Resource is scheduled to be released for dispatch to MISO from Hourly Economic Minimum Limit to the point where MISO  releases the Resource for shut down from Hourly Economic Minimum Limit.
